I graduated from high school in 1994. I briefly attended ATU for a couple years, but left college to be a stay-at-home mom to my four children. I returned to college in 2012 and graduated from ATU in 2015 with my Bachelors of Science degree in Middle Level Education. I am currently enrolled with Arkasas State University where I will complete a Masters in the Science of Reading.

I am certified to teach grades 4-8 in science, grades 4-8 in English Language Arts and grades 4-12 in Social Studies (including all history, economics, civics, geography classes).
I have been with the Lamar School District since 2016. I am the ALE teacher (Alternative Learning Environment/Alt. Ed) for grades 4-7. I currently teach science, literacyl, US history, world history and geography. I also proctor an online 7th grade Pearson math program.
I have been married to my husband, Michael, since 1997. We have 4 children together. My oldest daughter, Maddie, is a sophomore in college. My oldest son, Isaac, is a senior in high school. My youngest son, Joshua is a freshman in high school and my youngest daughter, Mia, is in the 6th grade.
We have a pomeranian dog, Hayleigh and two cats, Mittens and Little Bit.
My hobbies include sewing, reading, tending my flowers, cooking and spending time with my family.
